OK, well Team Underdogs would like to have some new members to replace our growing gap of members and replace those that have become inactive. To make sure you have what we are looking for along with being an active part of Guildinn here is a guideline on how to apply...

1. 5 of your best sigs (use your own judgment, being able to judge your own work is a valuable skill)
2. Any LP's or other non-sig works you may want to share, not necessarily required but encouraged
3. Briefly describe your place in your artistic journey, and why joining the Underdogs would help.
4. Rate your activity, not only on this site, but also in GFX. say ?/10 please be honest.
5. post your photobucket and/or Deviant art profile
6. Must also be at least level 1.
7. Any other gfx programs that you use

Our team will then review the entries and decide personally whether you are what we are truly looking for in a team member. It should take a maximum of 2 days to review and come to a decision, but in most cases our decision will be sooner, so please give us time, and no thread bumping unless it does take longer than mentioned here. Lastly no spamming in this thread please, it is to be used by members of Underdogs and its applicants only; to keep the thread clean and easy to judge. Anyways thank you, and Good luck in applying!

Well i know you guys have(note have) been inactive as a team stand point but i think you guys are turning that around. I know I am not great material but i think i could get there with the help of you guys... I also want cookies

I have something to say.
I find it really weird that most people who are asked to judge their activity on the ?/10 scale put so high numbers. It's as if the don't realize the scale stops at 10. I'll use Eddie as an example (you know it's not personal, man

) It says he has been a member for 4-5 months, and with 170 posts that's not impressive, and not worth and 8 on the GI part. As for GFX, he's only lvl 1. You can be lvl 1 by making 3 sigs total. They don't even have to be good.

So people: when you judge yourself on the ?/10 scale, please be honest. To have 10/10 you need to make around 3-5 sigs a day, and have a post per day above 20 as I see it.

yes but i am one of those people who look but don't post if they don;t have to

but i am on everyday for about 3-4 hours so that is what i mean by 8/10

So what? If I go to the gym everyday for several hours, just looking, does that make me stronger?

Im sorry but Trickshot you have not made the team, I may sound like a broken record but you still might want to work on improving effects, and colors a bit. Yet once you've done that feel free to apply again for our team.

You know, I think I'm the only one at GI with a post count of over 20 posts per day.

Yeah, and you're prolly the only one that can truthly say your activity both GI and GFX-wise is 10/10.

My phobucket is private, I have one photobucket account, never got around to making a second, so I have personal photos there, so you'll need to judge me w/o that.
As for sigs, I'll just post 3 recent ones.

My activity is about a 7/10
As like trickshot, I just kind of browse a lot per day.
And as for ahlto's arguement, this is nothing the same. You're not going to get much better
by posting "good job" on the tuts and give OTHER PEOPLE advise when they post their works, not to mention just posting in OT or a forum not even having much to do with GFX. So..I'm a spectator.

I am at level 1, I'm not really up for entering DOTW competitions to level up ,buuuuuut I will eventually when I get around to it.

Finally my artistic journey, I've been photoshopping for about a year and a half. I've been around town, other forums, etc, practicing on weekeneds and some free time. Idk what else I can say concerning my artistic journey.

No, but that helps people get to know you better. GI is not all about GFX. I personally would never accept someone into my team if I haven't seen him around the forum and such. I know that doesn't apply to you nor to Trickshot, but does to some I've seen applying for teams

As for the C&C part, yes you do get better by giving C&C.
I'm not very experienced GFX-wise, 'cause I don't know many techniques, but I consider myself really good at giving C&C, 'cause I've been doing that for a long time

So I can do pretty much all the things when making sigs that you post C&C about, such as composition, light, flow, depth, colours and all that. But techniques, that's what you can't learn from C&C.
On the other hand it's very hard to learn new techniques. In fact I believe you are able to learn techniques w/o even being on a forum, you just have to read tuts and experiment.
But all the other things I mentioned above, you can't learn them w/o getting C&C imo.
Sum-up:

Giving and receiving C&C teaches you how to do composition, light, flow, depth, colours and so on. Ofc tuts can teach you this too, but sometimes you can't judge by yourself if a sig has fx. the right compo.
Tuts and playing around in PhotoShop teaches you new techniques.
