its fast, but then you splitting the connection between over 300-600 computers (on average anyways usually much more depending on school) so techniquly its only meh speeds.

no we have under 100 computer's easily. student population is only 1100 and most of the people that need computers are also using laptops, and since you need to do your work while your inclass (stupid 6 hour long classes) they stay off the net, so we get extremely fast connections

I just want to say that your internet speeds are incredibly fast! 
My connection is not even in the thousands (kb/s)! But then again, such is the story of ISP's and internet speeds here in my country...
