Anyone know where I can learn to make stuff like this?

dude just read & study the tutorials (in the tutorial section) and i garentee sooner or later you'll be able to make stuff even better than that ... everything takes time

i dunno if there is a tut on how to make stuff like that exactly, but i bet you could figure it out!

there's plenty of tuts for that, I remember seeing a couple different versions and stuff.
just google "how to make an orb in photoshop" or something to that extent.

hint/tip: an orb or shiny spherical object are usually circular, have a smooth texture, have an intense light reflecting of one area and a slowly fading shadow on the other side where the light isnt refleting off....


once you can understand these simple rules? it should be easy to make.

^that's what I'd do. it seems to be the easiest way, IMO. you should try that one out.
