Sorry, but i have to say that Apple may just have the best customer support ever. Most companies would tell you to go fuck yourself if you had a problem with something but it was out of warrenty right? well i just phoned up apple as one of the palm rests on my macbook has a crack, and there's a lot of discolouring on the case. the guy puts me on hold for quite a while, but i had no problem with this as i found a 020 version of the 0870 number so it didnt cost me anything, and then comes back and gives me a "Exception Code" and said go into the apple store and give them that and they will fix my mac and make it look nice again for free.

I was completely gobsmacked, i was phoning them just cos i thought i may as well try, i never expected to get anything out of it. So yeah, 3 cheers for Apples support!

My sister's bf got a free ipod cos his mate dropped is in a can of bear, washed it with water and put it in the oven to dry it (no joke) and he got one off his insurence, and sent the broken one to my sister's bf. Now it was outta warenty but he sent it off anyway, and got a free one back lol

On, on subject, you'll get a lot of free stuff or cut prices if you ask/try and get them.

It would be better if the waiting on hold wasn't so long. There has to be a company that does that man!

dude everything is cheaper in America, although i had an ok experience with apple when my ipod broke, they did give me a completely new one, to bad it took about 3 months and the closest apple store to me is about 5 hours away.

Yeah, it would have it bonus' but I just don't think American culture is for me. That's the only thing that puts me off.

actually
every experience that ive ever had with apple support has been terrible.
them trying to charge me to talk to people on the phone... rude... etc.
i got sick of my ipods not working and breaking (all three of them) and them not doing anything about it and trying to charge me...

so i have a zune and LOVE it

its cool that you guys have had good experiences tho!

Nah, the American culture puts me off too, but I was just saying that to express how great I thought it would be to have that kind of offer here in my country.

watcom are pretty shit for contries other than the USA, the widescreen version of the cintiq is ponly available to the US and all the prices are around 20% cheaper. Apple are just as bad, with the same sytems costing 50% more in the UK than in the US. F**k them all.
