If you wanna try something new, you can always try different "styles"
Try having a go at abstracts, extremely colorful tags, very high/ low contrast black and whites, manip lps etc. etc. These could be good experiments and also help spice up your gfx skill later on.

but if you totally want a different program with trial versions, then there is always illustrator, c4d, and terragen.

well i only had a free trial for photoshop i never came up with the money so...i was looking for a new prgm while i save upfor ps or the other option that we do not speak of

Try project dogwaffle, you can find free versions on the net or bundled with PC and Dgiart mags.
