Help plz?

my photoshop [cs3] is lame and it wont let me use the brushes... it looks like all my brushes are locked and i havent figured it out... ive been lookin for an anwser for 2 hours. why are they locked @_@, i cant figure it out, all my brushes are locked and i downloaded several brush's, and really without brushes i cant do alot[me being new and everything] help anyone who knows how to figure this out i would appreciate it, thanks?

Maybe you should post a print screen of what you are seeing, because I am not sure what you mean by "locked."

Did you put the .abr files in the right folder?

did you unzip the files if they came in RAR archives?

Sry guys ive been gone a while,and thanks for all the posts but... well i checked all that and no thats not the problem im gonna make a short movie just to show u guys my problem (sry for being gone so long)

u may have corrupt *.abr files or maybe it cant find the directory to the brushes folder.... try re-installing photoshop if u can & see what happens

guys i figured it out thanks so much... now i just gotta find the paint brush
were is it hiding??!

i had once that ploblem too,i think you dont have the correct layer selected lol
