Go to your local library and take out some books on:
-anatomy
-composition+depth(photography books are best for these)
-General drawing techniques(the ones that normally say "you can draw anything")
Also practice drawing cylinders, spheres, and cubes in different lights to hone your shading and highlight techniques. Start with a paper and pencil and avoid using a rubber.
EDIT-if it helps you can draw something, PM it to me and I'll try and point out where it's wrong and help you correct it.

Same goes for me.
Just don't draw humans, or just weird ones.
If I draw humans I use a picture or something else that helps with the proportions. (Those wooden puppets tend to help aswell )

Hey-this is the internet, If I was your neighbour I'd come over to teach you the basics, but as I'm not and don't want to teach via video confrence...
The human body is make from 3 parts:
the head, the body(chest area) and the legs. Arms are extra.
Each part can be thought of as a basic shape, eg the head is a ellipsoid, the arms are made from cylinders, with hinges where the joints are.
If you have any old action figures(or your siblings have dolls/whatever) you can use one of those to study how the body is constucted, once you have an idea of how the body can move then you can begin to shade.
Light is a straight vector. Think of it as pool balls that bounce off the sides of the table to get an idea of how it moves, but remember that the further it goes, the more diffuse, and thus darker the light is, but also spread over a larger area. Make sure to think of the light bouncing in all 3 dimensions.

3-d figures help too. Like them Bleach ones I bought? Pretty good for sketching. My cousin owns a few and she sketches the bare basics, and builds her own drawing from there. Great for proportions and whatnot.
