This is true, I used to be an avid CoD fan around the days of the original, but Modern Warfare dissapointed me to no end, because of the sole fact there was little meat to the single player and the mutli player was ruined because the launchers on the underside of the guns were 1 hit kills.

If this one sucks I might have to stick to Battlefield and Socom :p

I think this looks not bad, but the biggest selling point of COD4 and i'm presuming this one will be mulitplayer. As awesome as MP is on COD4, i agree with Jeebus bout the 1 hit kills with the GL, that sucks, because everybody whores them. I'd imagine its the same with the inclusion of tanks in the MP on COD5.

My fav was CoD2, the most of the maps in Multiplayer were great in that one. But CoD4 is just okay in my opinion... b/c everyone in it either whores Grenade Launchers and thinks they are good, or whores the p90 and thinks they are a pro.

It really is sad lol

I don't tend to like FPS games online but I loved COD4 when it first came out. If the multiplayer can hold up as well as 4 did I can see me getting this.

I would say it looks as good as or better than 4 graphic wise. Looks like there is more blood this time though, fire looks awsome as well

Well, I loved Call of Duty 2 and 3 to no end and the only reason why I played 4 is because all of my friends moved on to that game. But I will buy and play the crap out of WaW. I just wish they would have gotten rid of the perks system and I hope there's vehicle maps because those were an effing blast in CoD3.

Oh and if it's any consilation, they're using the same engine as Cock of Doody 4.

Sure, it might look cool but World War 2 is done for me. We have more than enough shooters revolving around the topic (Medal of Honor series, earlier CoDs, Wolfenstein to some extent, the list is endless) and for me, it gets boring. Sure, we get a fancy Korean (Or was it Vietnamese?) setting this time, but that doesn't change the fact that we are still presented with the same generals, the same scenarios and basically, the same games with just better graphics.

CoD4 was a refreshment, they did something that hadn't been done a lot before by game developers (especially when looking at the tradition of CoD before) and they came out with a brilliant game. The single player storyline was magnificent and it threw a breath of fresh air in the series. Now they're just going back in time and to be honest, I'm not hyped about this one.

Anyways, I'm not to keen on the whole World War II theme anymore because it's been done like... a million times before but one thing I'd love to see is another Omaha beach/D-Day level on a Next Gen console... that would be truly amazing, something that could rival the opening scene of Saving Private Ryan

And Online Co-operative singleplayer will be fun aswell

I hope they've beefed up the storyline a bit though and at least doubled the playing time of Cod4's campaign.

Yes, because Modern Combat games originated around CoD4.
Battlefield had been doing it for years.
Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six had been too.
Full Spectrum Warrior was before it.
Etc.
Etc.
I could go on.

No game is original, even Halo's story, enemies, etc is a rip off of other stories/games.

I never said that what they did was original, but it was a good refreshment from the series, which was needed. No offense, but I'm personally sick and tired of WW2, and I'm not the only one.
