Well i'm sure there are some other sports fans around here..

I'm also sure you figured out already i'm a huge football/sports fan myself..

Madden 09 is the 20th version of madden to date, and i've got every one of them!

Any one else excited for this or play madden at all?.. When it DOES come out you'll have to play me, add me on XBL..

But beware.. my old madden record was 251-30

Being a Brit, I've never been much of a fan. However, I have enjoyed playing a few previous versions, never really learning the rules but it's always good to land a few long passes.

I can't see me ever paying for a current version as an updated roster means nothing to me

Im exactly like marc, I played it before. No idea what im doing with all the plays but I just choose the ones with some guy running forward xD Long passes are always fun..

LOL yeah it is complicated to people who are "new" to the sport.. i mean i've played football for 7-8 years, and all through my high school career.. i love the sport and i love to play it virtually as well..

its fun seeing people who don't know what their doing playing the game.. i mean i was the same when i was young playing just picking plays and what not, but as i learned i got really really good..

great game.. and anyone else who likes it release party monday nighT

Seems like Gramers will be flooding Gamestop's tonight. Though i cant disagree that Madden 08 was great as a football game, really cant, cuz i would be lieing to your face. But it got flooded with Gramers aka casual gamers and thats why i enjoy laughing at NFL 09.

lol yeah, its been said madden 09 is built more for the casual gamer (which pisses me right off)..

bought it the first day, i see what they mean, still a great game though..

i wouldn't consider myself a gramer, but i sure as hell love my madden..

i should post my vids for you guys.. you can save replays from madden and send them to your friends/host them online, its sick..

I honestly don't understand EA. My dad has played Madden ever since it released way back in the SEGA days. One thing that's for certain that the graphics seem to improve every year. But what I don't get is that it's virtually the same game. All you're doing is paying for an updated roster and a bunch of bells and whistles that you'll do maybe once(if that). What does EA do when a trade is made or if a Free Agent gets signed to a team in real life? They do a roster update... now, correct me if I'm wrong but couldn't they just charge like... $4 or so for the updated rosters and what not? You guys are buying the same game every year.
Let's say that the game was $50 every year to make up for price changes from year to year, that's $1000 they've stiffed you for. My dad bought the newest one, he was upset because he said all they did was update the roster and switch a button or two around. But he said it's virtually the same as last year's and the year before.
