ever since brawl pretty much dissapointed with all the time and effort i put into working up enough money to get a wii just for that game (i.e stupid), being hyped for games has gone a bit down for me
however, games like FF13 and Street fighter 4 coming in the future remind me that theres still some hope left

Gaming lost its spark for me. Almost everything's kinda more of the same - lost interest majorly. :\
It's kinda weird. brawl got boring, and so did like everything else o.O
When I was younger I remember looking forward to more of the same =P

Yeah, it has lost it's spark... I used to be HUGE into the whole gaming thing, especially MMOs (I don't think there's I single MMO I haven't alpha/beta tested back in those days), but I kind of lost interest. At some point I just realised how flawed all those games are, no game actually broke through into "next-gen". World of Warcraft has to be the worst thing to ever happen to the MMO world, it made everyone think shallow, easy and cartoony looking games are the way to go, such a shame... However, thanks to this thread I've just seen the new Star Wars game and I'm REALLY excited, especially because of the Wii features of actually wielding a lightsaber and using force-powers intuitively. I'm actually considering buying a Wii just for that.

Yes but the cars cost more and so does the fuel, it doesnt really make it any cheaper, especially as getting the most out of your cars mileage is all about driving properly.
each to their own though i suppose. I really wanted to play PSU earlier but it kept locking up and disconnecting because it was so hot so the 360 was having a fit :@ stuuupid!

I dont know about you guys but gaming is amazing im not sure if it's because whenever i play i play with people i know of a social staus and you can just talk and game. I find that games that are coming out look insane eg. gears 2, fable 2, hopefully that new halo without masterchief, cod 5, rock band 2, too human, left 4 dead and i cant wait until they bringout the new playlists for cod 4 and the new interface for the xbox

I like new games-the new features, graphics, etc, but I feel the same about them most of the time. The only new games in the past 12 months that really got me were C+C and Crysis. Other than that I tend to stick to old games that have stupid amount of longevity. I am really looking forward to getting Diablo 3 (when it drops in price from it release by £5 or so). Besides a lot of the time my PC's running a render or folding

Don't buy a Wii just for that... It might be cool, but honestly, the Wii mote isn't that accurate (yet) so you might aswell end up being hugely dissapointed by the fact, that your slashes are being converted to prerendered motions in the game (Like Red Steel). If you really want to experience jedi fighting at its finest, then wait till the next one is coming out, as it most likely will take good use of the Motion Plus controller addon, that Nintendo announced at this years E3.
And in other news:
Has gaming lost its spark in my life?
Yes. Think the post above explains pretty much why (except, haven't got a car yet )

Ya, I get the same feeling now... all this hype and too me, I'm always dissapointed.
I eagerly anticipated GTA4, completed it in 2 weeks, haven't played it since, think SA is better than it.
MGS4 comes out, I was annoyed that it wasn't for 360, played it over at my mates plenty of times, doesn't really deliver for me.
I dunno if it's because I'm now nearly 18 or not, but gaming just sucks now.

I lost my "spark" because I've been playing video games since I was like 4. I love playing video games, but I can't get excited over them anymore. But there are a few things I do to keep it interesting enough for me to still play regularly. If you truly are bored with regular multiplayer and bad offline games I suggest a 2 things for you.
1. Buy Oblivion. Best game ever, everything fits perfectly to make it a game u can play for months straight. (Won game of the year)
2. Play on Gamebattles (GB). I've played on Gamebattles for years. I'm an avid online player and GB is just what I need to keep it exciting. It's connected with MLG (Major League Gaming). Make a clan with other people and compete on ladders. VERY Active. Ex: COD4 for 360 has like 30000 clans registered.
