looks more like a filter tbh because the edges arent as clean cut
as you would get with a pentool
but hey, if you fix up the lines/edges and make them straight (esp. like with the window and walls, i mean wth...) then it would be so pro (:

Looks smexy to me... I think ya need to make the eyes brighter blue though and stubble could do with some work, it would make a big difference imo.

haha not quite

some suggestions if i may:
it kinda looks at blotchy on his face and what not. try to work with smoother shapes and not just colored polygons.
the colors are also dont flow smoothly from one to the other.
also, i can see the original stock image parts underneath bare parts of your vector, mostly some borders between pen shapes and what not. u may want to fix that in the future
keep it up tho

His jaw line is a bit wonky and the overall vector is to jagged, nice work tho.

for large peices i never use the peentool... i just cheat listen to this lol:

1) make a new layer above the reference image
2) get the "lasso tool"
3) zoom in about 600-700% onto the image
4) carefully trace around a section of shadow or light area with the lasso tool
5) get the "sampling tool" & sample that area you just traced/lassoed around
6) get a large the brush tool (about 70px should do it) and fill in the lassoed area
7) press Ctrl+D the deselect the lasso
get the erazer (100% hardness) and carefully lookand eraze any fawlts or errors you might see.

.... do this layer by layer & area by area.. and you will achieve perfect LP pentooling fast... great thing is you dont even need to have a steady hand

u know why? because i say so

but good work anyway i think you could have done more with it doe.. i mean rather than just vector it ..u could have added a few designs of your own to it i think

Take your time on these, make the pentooling smooth and the shapes clean. Also, use gradients to make the color transitions better- it works wonders.
